Hey Reader,You know that voice that shows up a few weeks after you launch something new? After all the "fun" of creating, designing, and writing about your new thing is mostly done... It sounds a little something like this: This isn't working. You should have done it this way. You should blow this up before it blows up in your face. Yeah, that one. The annoying thing about this voice is that sometimes it is right. Sometimes moving on or changing something in your business IS the right call. But in my experience, it's usually not your intuition...it's your fear. It's your discomfort. It's impatience. The online business world has got us so confused with what success actually looks like because we are constantly bombarded with ads promising quick fixes and instant sales results. *insert the "I sold out my new offer in 3 hours" screenshot here* Sooooooo, of course, we're going to be scared to fail. If your new thing doesn't sell out right away, you may feel the itch to change it or scrap it before it's really even had the chance to take off. Here's the thing about that fear though...it's rarely actually about the failing part. It's about what you're afraid it means about you if it doesn't work right away...that you got it wrong, that you should've known better, that people are watching you NOT succeed. That fear is trying to protect you from something that hasn't even happened yet. So instead of making the uncomfortable feelings go away by blowing up your "something new," try giving it some space to actually succeed. It might be helpful to think of it as an experiment! Give it a few (or more) months and learn how to measure it in a way that gives it a fair test before changing it or moving on. Your fear will probably be pretty loud during this time. It's going to be uncomfortable. Sit with that discomfort. Learn to feel safe with the unknown. Yes, it's easier said than done. And it's not going to give you that sweet, sweet hit of something new and exciting (my neurodivergent friends will definitely get how hard that is). But it is what will help you evolve as a business owner. This is exactly what I'm doing right now, with my Brand Disruptor Support group...I'm sitting with the discomfort. When I launched by Brand Intensive offer a couple of months ago, I created a Telegram group to help support my clients as they implemented their recommended changes. My Brand Intensive is a full review of your brand, website, messaging, visuals and overall online presence. You get a recorded video, report, an optional 1:1 session with me, and access to the support group! Perfect if you're not ready for full branding but want expert support. Since I launched, I've worked with dozens of businesses who are LOVING the program! And yet most of my clients haven't joined the support group. It's pretty quiet in there right now (maybe that's a bonus for you if you'd like extra attention from me!). That kind of quiet used to send me straight into "well, clearly nobody wants this part" mode and I'd probably want to remove it. Today, I have learned to sit with it instead. When doing that, a few other explanations (that weren't guided by fear) showed up too. Like, maybe the Intensive itself is thorough enough that people feel fully equipped and just don't need the extra layer of support. Or maybe it's more about the ask...the having to show your still-messy, still-becoming brand to a group of near-strangers kind. That definitely takes a kind of vulnerability that isn't easy for everyone, even when they'd genuinely benefit from it. Honestly? I don't know what it is yet. And I probably won't until I've given it a fair amount of time to show me. So that's what I'm going to do! Next time you're feeling like blowing up a part of your business...sit with this question: Is your thing actually failing or is it just early? This is the exact same question I answer when I do a Brand Intensive for your business. Most of the time, when a brand isn't working the way you hoped, the problem isn't that you need to fully blow it up and start over. It's that it never had a solid foundation to work from in the first place. The Brand Intensive is a full, honest audit of your online presence...what's working, what's quietly costing you clients, and a clear plan you can actually act on. Not a teardown. It's a sustainable reset, with 1:1 and community support so you're not left to figure out the implementation alone. Grab your spot before the summer is done so you can move into fall with a brand that's finally caught up to you! Ready to find out for yourself? Book your Brand Intensive today! Emily 💋 |

Hey Reader, When I joined the coaching staff for my daughter's rep hockey team, I spent wayyyyy to many nights wondering if I should have said "yes" in the first place because I felt like I didn't fit in. It wasn't that the other coaches were bad guys (they aren't at all!). But they all seemed to have this effortless confidence...the kind that comes naturally when a space is predominantly centered around them. They stepped onto the ice assuming they belonged there and that they knew best. As...
Hey Reader, The most random thing happened the other day and I just had to tell you all about it because there is a lesson here for all my sensitive, people-pleasing friends. I was out with a friend (and fellow entrepreneur) when I noticed I had a voicemail. It said..."Oh, hi Emily, this is *redacted name*. If you can text that would be better. Otherwise, you can call. *redacted phone number* Uh, I have some questions. Thank you." At first I figured it was spam. But when I looked the number...
Hey Reader, I’ve been working on a little side project (very slowwwwwwly) in between my client work lately. I want to use this week's newsletter as an opportunity to put words to something I've been thinking about a lot lately: the way we’re taught to buy business support in the online space. Because if you're currently eyeing a coaching container that costs more than what you're currently making in a year, I want to tell you to step away from the checkout page. Don't do it. Not yet, anyway....
