Hey Reader,*Make sure you read until the end for your chance to win* My kids are finally back in school and I can finally breathe again. Woo-hoo! There's something about September that gives me SO MUCH energy. In between clients the past couple of months, I've been working on something I'm really proud of and I am soooooo ready to put everything I've got into it these next couple of weeks! As I send this, I'm updating my brand photos with Jocelyn Phillips (today is literally our photoshoot day lol). I'm finalizing edits, writing sales pages, and emails. I am so damn excited to get this into the world. You want to know something I've noticed in the middle of all this building? It doesn't feel chaotic this time. I'm not starting from zero because I have a solid brand strategy in place. Everything that's TRULY important already exists. My voice, values, vibe...and yeah...my whole visual system that's set up to compliment it. *happy dance* I'm not inventing a brand identity in order to bring this new offer to life. I'm simply applying the one I've already got. And let me tell you...it has been making my life SO MUCH easier. A brand strategy buys you the ability to have a new idea and not have to rebuild your entire brand to hold it properly. I don't know about you...but the last thing my AuDHD brain needs is one more decision to make before I talk about what I've created and am selling. I am so over the idea that you need to create a new personality every time you launch something new. You shouldn't need to rebuild your entire brand ecosystem just because you are expanding or changing your offers. A solid brand foundation isn't something you have to redo every time you grow. It's something that should hold you AS you grow (because entrepreneurs are always growing)! That's the whole point of building it right the first time. Normally, I wouldn't share what I'm creating until it's ready to launch, but I'm trying to share more of my "messy middle" (even if it isn't so messy...just a lot of work)! I'm creating a brand strategy course! The exact thing I just described...the brand foundation that grows with you...and I'm finally making it something you can build yourself, without the 4-figure investment of having it done-for-you. As I'm putting the final touches on this program, I would love to ask YOU some questions. Would you mind filling out this quick survey for me (pretty please with a cherry on top!)?! Everyone who fills out the survey will have a chance to win a free 1:1 strategy session with me (valued at $399 CAD) and a $100 gift card (your choice)! Winner will be announced in the next email so fill it out now before you forget!! xo Thanks so much for your time! Much appreciated. xo Emily 💋 |

Hey Reader, So I did something a few weeks ago that feels a little uhhhh...cringeworthy, especially considering my entire brand is built around intentional anti-hustle strategy. I saw an email land in my inbox from a creator with a huge name in his space. He has around 30,000 subscribers!! For months, purchasing a newsletter ad from him had been sitting on my "maybe someday" list. I hadn't pulled the trigger because audience borrowing hasn't historically been a good investment for me...but...
Hey Reader, When I joined the coaching staff for my daughter's rep hockey team, I spent wayyyyy to many nights wondering if I should have said "yes" in the first place because I felt like I didn't fit in. It wasn't that the other coaches were bad guys (they aren't at all!). But they all seemed to have this effortless confidence...the kind that comes naturally when a space is predominantly centered around them. They stepped onto the ice assuming they belonged there and that they knew best. As...
Hey Reader, The most random thing happened the other day and I just had to tell you all about it because there is a lesson here for all my sensitive, people-pleasing friends. I was out with a friend (and fellow entrepreneur) when I noticed I had a voicemail. It said..."Oh, hi Emily, this is *redacted name*. If you can text that would be better. Otherwise, you can call. *redacted phone number* Uh, I have some questions. Thank you." At first I figured it was spam. But when I looked the number...
