If you’re still opening emails in December...I just want to say thank you. 🩷

This time of year can feel like A LOT. Your inbox is full, your brain is maxed out, and your nervous system is hanging on by a thread.

So...yeah...If you’re here reading this one, I don’t take that for granted!

At the end of last year (December 2024) I knew I had made some great progress in my business. And yet, I found myself feeling bad about my journey because I was comparing it to everyone else's end of year highlight reels.

So I wrote something that I shared on Instagram (now archived because of my static grid)...and I think it might be what you need to hear right now. Ready?! 👇️

It's okay if you didn't launch that program this year.

It's okay if you didn't hit six figures.

It's okay if you didn't go viral.

It's okay if you didn't start that podcast.

It's okay if you didn't write that book.

It's okay if you didn't feel like showing up online.

It's okay if you didn't do all the things they say you need to do to become successful.

It's okay if you don't have a fancy video montage of your achievements or a holiday "wrapped" showcasing your business highlights from the year.

Building a business you love takes time. Sometimes it's messy, sometimes it's slow, and sometimes...you're just surviving. And that's okay.

You are not alone.

You have the gift of tomorrow! Keep going!

This year was a mix of learning, pivoting, and finally slowing down and structuring my business so it was more sustainable.

I gave up creating weekly social media content, experimented with marketing and visibility strategies, and got clearer on my messaging.

I did a brand refresh and changed my businesses name.

And the journey become so much more enjoyable...

Not because I started to book more clients (those seeds were planted long ago), but because I finally started to STOP listening to what everyone else was telling me I had to do.

I cancelled the heck out of community memberships, unsubscribed from creators using shame and FOMO, and I honoured the f*ck out of my boundaries (which is really freaking hard to do BTW).

I started to do more of what makes me happy.

Some of that includes: writing these emails (which are no longer just about marketing tips and tricks), spending more time doing things I like (instead of comparing myself to people online), and more dreaming of all the amazing things I can do with this business (including working with cool people who care about the world)!

And that's why I want to remind you that even though sometimes small actions don't feel very big (or "highlight reel" worthy), they are still steps in the right direction (yes, even the ones that have us step back)!

Whether you're dreaming, resting, or reimagining right now…know that I’m cheering you on.
